Principal Consultant

Richard joined Threepwood Consulting in November 2013 as a Senior Consultant.

Prior to this Richard worked at Stanlow Oil Refinery as an Electrical Engineer planning and delivering various projects from large generator to LV motor control equipment. He successfully delivered the replacement of the largest motor control centre at the refinery, within budget and without production loss. Richard began his career at what is now Electricity North West. Working as a HV Authorised Control Engineer, he gained much operational experience and in-depth knowledge of safety on HV networks. He later took up the role of System Management Engineer, ensuring network security and asset maintenance policy was fulfilled.

Richard is a technically skilled engineer with proven operational and project management experience.

Richard has a MEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast, holds an IAM Certificate in Asset Management and City and Guilds BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
