Karan Oommen

Karan joined Threepwood Consulting in 2023 and has been a Consultant since August 2025. He is on a pathway to gaining Chartered Engineer status and holds a First Class MEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Nottingham. Karan is currently the technical lead for Threepwood concerning assessment of LCT and updating of ENA Connect Direct.

Outside of work, Karan is an avid sports fan including football, cricket and F1. He also enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym, travelling and spending time with family and friends. He currently lives in Manchester. His academic interests are in power electronics with focus on semiconductors and the energy industry including power engineering and renewable energy. His final year individual project titled ‘Technology Computer Aided Design of Power Semiconductor Devices’ simulated and modelled the intrinsic characteristics of various semiconductor devices including PN junction, Diodes and Schottky Diodes.
