We support network operators, manufacturers, developers and industry bodies with technical consultancy, engineering assurance, power quality, network planning, asset management and standards development.

Expressions of Interest
Threepwood Consulting is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced engineers who are interested in joining a growing specialist consultancy.
We are keen to hear from individuals with significant experience in the UK electricity distribution sector who enjoy solving challenging technical problems and want to play a leading role in shaping the future of the network.
Unlike larger organisations, Threepwood offers a highly collaborative and technical environment where consultants work directly with clients, influence key engineering decisions, and see the real-world impact of their work. Our projects span a wide range of technical disciplines, including:
- Low Carbon Technology integration
- Harmonic and power quality studies
- Network planning and design
- Asset management and investment planning
- Technical standards and engineering governance
- Regulatory and industry-wide initiatives
The successful individual will work alongside a team with experience gained across Distribution Network Operators, the Energy Networks Association, equipment manufacturers and national industry programmes. Many of our consultants continue to contribute to the working groups and committees responsible for developing industry standards and best practice.
Who We Would Like to Hear From
We would particularly like to hear from engineers with 15 years or more experience in the UK electricity distribution industry who:
- Have an interest in moving into, or further developing, a consultancy career
- Possess recognised expertise within a specific technical discipline
- Can provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers
- Have strong commercial awareness and an understanding of client needs
- Enjoy solving complex engineering challenges and communicating practical solutions
