ESB Networks LCT Register Compliance
Acting as ESB Networks’ LCT Compliance Agency, getting the technologies of the energy transition assessed, registered and cleared to connect.
Heat pumps, EV chargers and inverter-connected generation must be registered with ESB Networks before they can be connected. Threepwood acts as the LCT Compliance Agency, taking manufacturers and installers through registration.
The challenge
Under ESB Networks requirements, low carbon technology devices — heat pumps, EV chargers and inverter-connected generation such as PV, wind and battery — must be registered on the LCT Register before they can be connected.
For manufacturers and installers the submission process and evidence requirements are not always clear, and a device that is not registered cannot be connected to the network.
As ESB Networks’ LCT Compliance Agency, Threepwood provides the route for devices to be assessed against the standards and registered.
Our approach
Threepwood assesses device documentation against the relevant standards (EN 50549-1 and EN 50549-10), prepares the submission and manages it through to registration.
Registration typically takes up to four weeks, and templates and guidance are provided directly to manufacturers and installers so future submissions are quicker.
