Principal Consultant
Chris joined Threepwood Consulting as a Principal Consultant in July 2019. Specialising in electricity safety, his key responsibilities include the introduction, implementation and review of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) management systems as well as providing robust Asset Management solutions to the energy sectors.
Chris began his career with a UK Regional Electricity Company (REC) where progressive roles and responsibilities included asset management techniques, development and implementation of corrective maintenance programmes, asset renewal, failure investigations including root cause analysis and senior authorised person duties and mentor training.
Chris also spent several years in external contracting where he managed construction and maintenance contracts on independently owned electricity networks at various voltages as well as developing and implementing associated safety guidelines, specification literature and performing internal safety auditing.
More recently Chris spent 12 years as a Lead/Principal consultant with EA Technology where he became an expert in the development, review and implementation of electrical safety rules, safe systems of work and operational procedures. This area of expertise was a key factor in Chris undertaking a 12 month secondment to the Regulation and Supervision Bureau in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (the Regulator for power, water and wastewater) where he provided technical expertise on the enforcement of relevant laws that govern the Abu Dhabi electricity sector.
